I need a budget CPU for gtx 1070

Hi,

I'm going to build a new pc soon and it'll definitely have a gtx 1070 in it. The problem is, after after buying the 1070 and the rest of the components I won't have much left for a CPU.

Is there a good cpu (under 200 euros) that won't bottleneck the gtx 1070?

Honestly, anything Haswell i3 or higher should do it. Ideally, a Haswell i5 should be ideal - and would be a budget buy if you can get one slightly used.

i5-6500. if you can't find it your budget, get an i3 6100.

The small price delta between the 6400 and the 6500 makes it a no-brainer to get the 6500 for teh extra 500Mhz. Also, an i3 6100 performs better than the i5 6400 in most games because of the better single threaded performance.
