So, i need a new computer that is pretty good for gaming but also good for school work, I would like something that can run most games with around 60 fps but can also do word processing and photo editing and thins like that. I would like a desktop preferably and i know its a lot better to build your own but i don't have the time and know how on how to do that. So if anyone could name a computer that's preferably pre built and meets these standards and costs no more than $1,200 it would be very helpful. Thanks

I would try and get a system with 1080p monitor. For about $1200 you should be able to get a complete system. Not a high end but at least a very decent one.
You can try and configure one with Ibuypower, Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.
I would still recommend building your own, and ask some friend or family member to help you build it. These complete systems usually aren't that bad, but always have some cheap components that make it overpriced.
If you want some gaming remember you should get a PC with a dedicated GPU, which would be a AMD R9 380 or higher or a Nvidia GTX 960 or higher to get some decent gaming performance.

Hey webmcs1,
you can choose another brand. i have terrific experience of using Dell Laptop. From my Experience you can choose Fujitsu. amazing brand. last 7 years i am using this brand.
Best of Luck.

You can get "decent" gaming performance out of a 750

I assume you are looking for a desktop PC. If that is the case, I suggest anything with an i7 Processor, at least 16GB of DDR3 or above RAM, and a Nvidia 960 or above. With that said, finding a pre-built gaming PC for under $1,200 shouldn't be an issue.

In the past, I have used iBuyPower, which were and appear to still be your best bang for your buck. CyberPower PC also appears to be along those lines. Here is one I would suggest (I know it's a little higher than your budget, but it has one of the best 6th Gen Intel Processors, as well as excellent other specs):

Here are some more suggestions closer to your price range:

Regarding a monitor, with your price range I would stick with 1080p, 120 Hertz for smoother game play.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Well at Tiger Direct or New egg you can pick out the components you want and they will build it or you can build it.
