I need a small but effective cooler

Hi,

Over the last two years i've bought two different types of coolers:

Corsair H50 - I sent this back because I didn't feel like taking my motherboard out, my computer case had a cut out but I couldn't fit the mounting bracket in, this really anoyed me.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 - This took up two of my four RAM slots which was a sacrafise I wasn't willing to make.

So I am looking for a cooler which is fairly small but still works really well.

I7 2600K with stock cooler
Asus P8Z68-V PRO
CM Storm mid tower

These are great, they use pushpins like the stock intel cooler. It is only a 92mm fan, but it comes with a mounting bracket for a 2nd 92mm fan for a push/pull configuration. So order another fan with it. Or what I did was order two fans with it that are better than the stock fans. I use this on one of my machines. Actually I bought it at BestBuy, it says Rocketfish on it but like most Rocketfish products it is a rebadge of another companies product (Coolermaster).

The performance is really good, but not as good as it's big brother the 120mm 212 Evo. This is the best performance I can find you without installing a backplate. I'm sure someone else will have suggestions too.

Why small?

All of the storm series of mid towers can fit good air coolers.
