I'm currently researching parts for a PC build. I'm going to be using the Raijintek Metis as a case so there wont be much room at all. I intend to build a custom water cooling loop for the build so every millimeter counts. I'm looking for a PSU that is roughly 400w, modular, and very small. If the PSU is small enough I can fit an extremely small pump, res, or pump/res on top of it which would be great.
This build will have an i7 6700k and a GTX 1050ti. The CPU is overkill but I already have one laying around so that's what's going in to this. The 1050ti is small and draws power exclusively from the PCI slot so it's small, reduces the number of cables, and allows for a low watt PSU. Besides, all the data suggests that a modern desktop requires very little power indeed and most of us have overkill PSUs. I have an 850w EVGA G2 which is great but it's too big for this build.
Anyone have any suggestions?
