I have a Dell Inspiron 545 desktop and I am planning to buy new parts for it.

Currently, my PC has:

Processor: Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 2.5GHz
Motherboard: Whatever came with the Inspiron 545
RAM: 3GB DDR2
Video Card: Intel G33/G31 Express Chipset Family
Power Supply: 300W

I have done a little research and these are on my to-buy list:

Processor: Intel Core i3-3220 3.30 GHz
Motherboard: ASRock H61M-VS3
RAM: Corsair 4GB DDR3
Video Card: Palit GT630 2GB 128bit
Power Supply: Is 300W enough?

What do you guys think?

Solution
I wouldn't reuse the PSU, OEM's are not known for using quality PSU's in their machines. Plus it probably wouldn't have all the correct connections.

Also, I'd be surprised if you will be able to use the case, Dell mainly uses proprietary cases that don't fit standard ATX format motherboards. i.e. the I/O panels don't line up or you can't change the I/O shield.

If you are looking for a budget gaming machine and can afford it, go for a Radeon 6670, its the best value card for entry level gaming.

As for the HDD, run checkdisk, if it comes up clean you can probably reuse it.

Inspirons were dell going back to atx. It's the older dimensions that were proprietary, before the btx designs. The case is microatx and fits everything that conforms to the atx standard and the io shield is removable. The psu is decent, though not 80+, it has all necessary connections (except for pcie power which it doesn't have enough power for anyways). It's fine for a lower power system. I'm not saying to not reuse the hdd, I'm saying don't be surprised if it fails. But replacing a 5+ year old hdd will usually have a noticeable speed up.
