Building a pc, but I don't know which CPU is better.
Intel Core i5-7500
or
AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
???

- personal preference, the i5 i can record and play games with intel, with no lagg(amd relive/ nvidia shadowplay)+ i never had driver issues with intel.

They are both really good chips. The i5 is probably a better chip at the moment, but down the road the 1500x will take the lead. But remember, you must get some very fast RAM (3000mhz) that is compatible with the 1500x or it will not be on par with the i5.

If it just between those two processors, I would pick the i5. The difference between them in the production side of it, is minimal. The only spot that the 1500x will be better is if you are streaming and gaming.

If you can splurge and get the 1600, then in every choice I would say the Ryzen.
