I don't know where to plug anything in. I've read the Tom's Hardware article and watched many videos but can't seem to figure it out.

Solution

The SATA cables that came with your motherboard are the data cables. The SATA power cables came with your PSU. The plugs you see on the back of the drives (optical and hard drive) will match to the ones on the motherboard. Port directly to the left of the SATA express port on the back of the drives will be the SATA power port. Hook the PSU power cable that looks identical to that into it. That simple.

Building a computer is just like making a lego build. Snap anything that looks same, really same. Or the easiest way is to call an engineer and let they work if you really can't figure out how to build even a simplest rig.

I don't know, not any computer engineer put the same cost. If you already have bought all the components, some video on youtube may help, take it slowly so you can understand how it works. But if you didn't bought any pc parts, maybe you should come to closest pc store, ask for your selected components, pick the part, and ask the staff to build your rig. That's the easiest way if you have no time to figuring out how to build a pc.

Thanks. The fan that comes with the case has a cable with 3 holes but the system fan connector has 4 prongs? Also, i don't know how to connect the hard drive and optical drive because there are no data power plugs on the motherboard.

If the fan has 3 pin connectors and the mobo has only 4 pin fan headers, that is fine. Just plug the 3pin onto the 4 pin header. The 4 pin allows you to have PWM contol if the fan has a 4pin connector. Your fans don't have that, so that is null and void. Just connect the connectors to the headers and you'll be fine.
All current motherboards have SATA3/SATA2 connections on them somewhere. Find that and you will have to plug in the corresponding cord to the port on the drive you wish to connect. Then you will have a 15pin SATA power connector next to that SATA3/2 on the back of the drive. Connect the SATA power plug from the power supply (PSU) to that.
If you can't find the SATA connections on the motherboard, link the motherboard make and model number so we can help you out.

Your SATA express ports are the four black ones at the bottom of the motherboard. They are all side-by-side.

There will be a cable that comes out from the PSU that will have the plug on it. If you have a fully modular PSU, then you will have to plug the SATA power cable into the appropriate plug-in on the PSU and then plug in the SATA power into the drives. That information is in the manual for the PSU.

You need to resort to your manuals for each of your products. This is actually quite ridiculous because I can tell that you haven't done anything of the sort since most companies will offer all the info you need in their manuals.
