I need help choosing a second storage drive

Hello,

My ssd is filling up fast and I want to move some things like my videos onto another drive. I'm looking for at least 2tb. What would be better a 7200 rpm hdd or an external USB 3.0? I video edit a lot and my clips will be moved to one of these drives. Which one would be better when it comes to editing?
