I need help constructing a £500 budget gaming PC

Hi guys, right now I am planning on building my first gaming PC, but I have a budget of £500.

The main thing I want out of this PC is to be able game at 1080p 60+ fps at HIGH settings on most games currently out.

I have tried searching and searching but it is really hard for a noob like me to find something around my budget.

I think the i5 - 6500 is about the best you can get

Thank you. After plenty of research I have really underestimated the power and performance of the Core i3 6100. This card will amazingly handle exactly what I want to do working together with the gtx 1060, and it has a great price. I have decided to get this spectacular CPU! I can't express how much I love this CPU, and because I was uninformed, I was hesitant to get this CPU because of the fact that it is an "i3". Boy was I wrong! The Intel Core i3 6100 DOES IT ALL (in my case xD)!

Anyways, thanks for your help, and everyone else who helped me find my way.

Glad we could help. Great build for only a little over your budget... AND you got an SSD for your boot drive. I was also a little skeptical when thinking about the i3 - 6100 for this build for the same reason, but it really is a great CPU for the price.
