I want to build a system that is cheap as possible. But I also want stability. I know that contradicts itself but I want the best for the price that is cheap. I don't care for much speed since the processor im probably gonna get is a Duron 700 since it is cheaper than the 600 and 650. Anyone know of a good board that provides stability and is dirt cheap? I know of the PCCHIPS board which is cheap but is there anyone out there that has experience with this board and its stability performance? As you probably assumed, im only a student and I dont even have a reliable source of money and my k6-2 system just doesn't do it for me anymore. I do know there is going to be a price drop, but when this month? Are the prices really gonna go down very low? Please help me, im in a desperate need for a new system as you can see (K6-2 333@400) just plain sucks.
Thanks in advance and any help would be appreciated.

All i know is, i got the Asus A7V for $300(aus) and it was an awesome mobo for a while, but now something's [-peep-] it up and it's died... Not sure really if it was the mobo, but yeah they're pretty good. My friend has the A7Pro and he's never had any troubles (he also has the Duron 700). Although be aware that the Pro doesn't have the DIP switch for Clock Multiplier so OCing will be dangerous...

But... one thing i have GOT to say, STAY AWAY FROM PCCHIPS!!!!!! they are extremely unreliable!!! Stay with a good/well reknowned brand and you'll never go wrong.
