hey guys! This is the first pc build I have ever made, so I'm sorry if it looks bad :/ I put it together in about 20 minutes, so please post a comment if there is something wrong. I love in Australia, and my budget is around $1000 (AUD) give or take a few hundred.

I am using pc case gear: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php
to get all of my computer components.

here is my build: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=158417&action=wish_lists

I will not be overclocking until I am ready to do so. I have put an aftermarket fan in the build for the future.

advice is appreciated, and I do not mind any recommendations.

Purchase date: hopefully OCT-DEC

Budget Range: $1000 (AUD). I would like to save as much money as possible.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, recording (fraps, etc), commentating, streaming/live streaming, movies, producing music, cd's, pretty much everyday stuff.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes. Preferably 21.5" to 22". I would like you to recommend a good monitor from $100 (AUD) - $150 (AUD)

Parts to Upgrade: everything. I will need some help to see if my build is good for gaming.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, i will be buying windows 7 home premium as the OS, as windows 8 is meant for PHONES not COMPUTERS.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: pc case gear: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php
(they have the cheapest prices for Australian users).

Location: Geraldton, Western Australia, Australia. I will be buying all of my components from pc case gear, as there is no parts shop where I live, that are cheap.

Parts Preferences: I would like to keep with the AMD preference, as I here they are the best for budget builds. (I am not a fanboy, and do not want this feed to become a battlefield for INTEL/AMD enthusiasts).

Overclocking: Definately not for the time being.

SLI or Crossfire: No, not needed

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: none, unless you have something to say.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I am upgrading because my laptop is not the best choice for gaming. I have the HP ENVY14 SPECTRE (you can search up the specs and correct me if I am wrong).

Please read the above :) I would like to see a post about the monitor :D

Thank you

Yes, it's way too early to start configuring your build. A lot will happen between then and now. New processors, new graphics cards, new system components. Heck, SSDs are going down in price like a rock. Windows 8 blue is supposed to get the start button back, a major improvement. In the meantime search around for the best places to buy components in your area.

Oh whoops! The post was meant to say purchase date: this or next month.
Sorry I took the template and forgot to replace the dates :)

Yea so I'm buying this month, or the one following
