Question I need help to build my first pc

Hello everyone, I'm posting today because despite my research I'm still in doubt.

I want to buy my first gaming PC and I've decided to go through a third-party site that offers to create its own configuration and deliver the PC ready to use.

I'd like to list the various components I've chosen and ask you to give me your opinion, as I have very little knowledge on the subject.
Are all the components compatible and efficient together?

I'm on a budget of around 2000 euros and I'd like to have a powerful configuration so that I can play high quality games with peace of mind, or even reach a competitive level in games, without having to change any of the components for at least 3 or 4 years.
I don't want to use overclocking.

Here's the configuration:

Case: bequiet! Shadow Base 800 black FX

Cpu: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 8x 4.20Ghz

graphic card: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT - 20GB

CPU Cooling : bequiet ! Dark Rock Pro 5 Cooler

motherboard : MSI B650 Gaming Plus WIFI

RAM: 32GB DDR5 RAM 6000 MHz Corsair Vengeance 2x 16GB

M.2 NVMe SSD: 2000GB Western Digital WD Blue SN580

Power supply: bequiet! Dark Power 13 - 1000W modular - 80 PLUS Titanium

This composition is within my budget on the chosen site, and seems advantageous in view of the price of the various components per unit on certain merchant sites.

It would be really nice if you could share your opinion with me, thank you!

I would say 7800X3D is overkill for 7900XT and I would´t buy 7900XT. Maybe something like 7700 with 4070Ti...

And if 7800x3d, then 4080 Super will be great . And with Nvidia GPU is 1000W PSU overkill

It all seems well balanced. You could use an 850W psu safely. The extra 150W may come in handy for upgrades.

The RX7900XT is straddled in raster by the 4070ti and 4080. It’s a good card, its value is decided by cost and your preference. Ray tracing.. if that is your aim then go Nvidia. If you don’t care about ray tracing then let your wallet decide.

RAM latency isn’t a huge problem with the 7800X3D, aim for 6000 CL30. Hardware Unboxed tested the 7800x3d with 6000 CL30 memory against 5200 CL40. The difference over their suite of games was 4% in the favour of the 6000 CL30 memory but 2 of those chosen were 10%. The extra cache covers up a multitude of sins. Hogwarts Legacy was 12%, Spider-Man Remastered was 9%.

I can't seem to find the RAM latency on the site where I made up my PC, can I quote it?
Okay, I'll take an 850 W and listen to your advice to stay with Nvidia as I currently have a GeForce 1050 Ti.
I'm thinking of getting the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super - 16GB - KFA2 ST 1-Click OC - DLSS 3 compatible instead.
Unfortunately as I can't know the RAM latency, I'm still in doubt, maybe I should change site.

A 7800x3d is not overkill for a 7900xt, and the 4070ti is slower than a 7900xt.

Unless you really have a want/need for Nvidia features, like DLSS, or Ray Tracing, I would recommend a 7900xtx for less money. On average they are within margin of error on performance, with the 7900xtx being cheaper with more vram.

Pure raster, it is faster. I still see RT as a gimmick. If I am doing my best to stay alive in a game, I am not going to be paying attention to reflections on water or shadows.

I wouldn't want to do RT with only 12gb VRAM anyway. 12gb cards are going to age poorly, unless you are a 1080p gamer.

HUB's 8gb vs 16gb, 3070 vs RX 6800 videos showed this perfectly well. Despite technically having better RT performance, due to vram limits, the RX 6800 was able to beat the 3070 even in RT scenarios, in some more modern titles.

I have an RTX 4080 Super, a relatively decent HDR monitor and I really like the RT. The game should also be nice, the days of the first Wolfenstein 3D are long gone...
