Hi guys I am using an AOC 24G2 Monitor for like 5 years (warranty expired) and this weird line occurs.
I sent a picture of it to the shop and he told me he couldn't fix it because this is a faulty monitor panel and it's hard to order the part for a replacement.

I tried using a dryer to blow at the faulty part of the screen but this didn't help.

So I came up with idea of setting a custom screen resolution to display only the good part of the monitor with software called "Custom Resolution Utility" but I am quite confused with the tuning I am not able to use utilize all the good part of my monitor if I tuned to don't use the bottom faulty part the top good part got rid and unutilized.

I don't know why I can't use the shared link of Imgur but here it is how my monitor looks View: https://imgur.com/a/lNOxquA

and with CRU I tried but get this View: https://imgur.com/M4iioen

thank you for your answer I have ordered LG Ultragear 24GS60F-B and planning to use the AOC monitor as a 2nd monitor in vertical. Unfortunately according to your answer I cannot get rid of the faulty part without losing the good part on the opposite side of the monitor 😥

Well, in Windows at least you used to be able to block off that part of the screen using the docked magnifier, so it would still be usable as a 2nd screen.

Just launch Windows Magnifier, hit Ctrl + Alt + D to change to docked mode, then drag it (by clicking on the magnified part and dragging, or right-clicking Move and using the arrow keys) to cover up the broken part which would be on one side in portrait/vertical. In its settings you could even set it to start with Windows.

Unfortunately after January 2022 the Magnifier behavior was changed to cover up icons and parts of open windows instead of automatically moving those and preventing full-screen windows from expanding into the part occupied by the magnifier dock. However this at least gives you 3rd party magnifier utilities as another option to investigate other than screen resolution utilities.
