Question I need help updating my mother board for a CPU upgrade

So i want to update my mother board so i can you use the Ryzen 5 5600. the motherboard is a Asrock b450m pro4 i have a Ryzen 5 1600af installed in it but when i go to the latest bios update on the website it says *ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if you are going to use Pinnacle, Raven or Summit Ridge CPU on your system. And the 1600Af is Pinnacle Ridge i dont have the 5600 yet but im about to buy it so if i update BIOS will i still be able to use the 1600AF on my system or do i need the 5600 on hand?
