I'm trying to build a computer capable of Running Maya, 3Ds Max, Adobe after affects without having to wait for hours or days to final render a piece and a little of gaming. This is the setup I have so far, did I choose good so far or am I mistaken? If so please help? Spending limit $1,000-2,000

The only thing I would recommend would be to bump up the RAM. I would go with G. Skill 1866 CL9 or better. It is a fairly inexpensive upgrade at this point.
