ok!!! issues!!!!! i have Acer Aspire One series 756 netbook.(NUSGTEG045) trying to boot off flash drive usb to install windows 8 again with os. I jumped the cmos prior. It worked the THIRD time, bu only getting me as far as RECOVERY missing BCD then back to bios mode!!! grrrrr. Please help me. I have fat32 flashdrive ready to boot.
HDD is not detected in bios, and missing driver in all other issues.
BIOS version: v2.01
VGA BIOS version: Intel V2137

Well, this will explain your bcd problem. My question is, how did you copy the os to your flash drive? It would appear to have a corrupted bootloader file.

I used ZOTAC which im guessing was a guess aswell. I have now installed ubuntiu desktop universal usb?? and lenux. flash-drived that and it powered up. I now have a ubuntu desktop and not my windows 8??? very dangerous when im bored :| i have no idea what any of this is 😀

The First solution is as Follows:-You may borrow a Windows 8 disk from a friend(Or somebody else) and boot from this disk
Select the correct time and Keyboard type.
Click Repair your computer in the lower left corner.
Select Troubleshoot from Choose an option screen.
Click Advanced options in Troubleshoot screen.
Click on command Prompt.
Type these following commands and hit enter after each line of command:
Bootrec /fixmbr
Bootrec /fixboot
Bootrec /scanos
Bootrec /rebuildbcd
If all this Doesn't work Post the same through this Forum.

before checking my email for forum reply s i created universal usb installer for windows 8. although im using the same os image a first install attempt. its currently creating? give it a go? i have a hp windows 8.1 which ive been using to get myself in the crapper 😀 can i use this os image?
