i need help

i just got a new MB but the slot 3 and 4 dont work so i cant use daul channel when i try to do daul channel my pc shuts off and on but it work when i run them in single channel so what do i do im not sure its my MB or updates or something. My MB is a z170mx-gaming 5 ram is G.SKILL NT Series 8gb

Check your CPU cooler, people oftenm overtighten in a corner or side, which throws the CPU out of level and you effectively 'lose' a channel, loosen it, then snug down to screw tight and give it a try.
