I will be upgrading my motherboard and cpu should i go intel or amd i want it to last 2- 3 years play games on high with my gtx 780 my cpu limit is 210$ and my motherboard limit is 110$

Solution
the i5 is better than 8350 in overall preformance the i5 utilize single core better than amd and overall core performance but as he said above mantle could improve that equation but i'm not sure since we didn't see mantle in real world performance after all it's up to you but i would go with I5 and prices is too close to each others so yeah i5 it's

he was talking about hardware upgrade so i didn't count the software but it's cheap now i mean he can get a copy for like 80 bucks so that's not the big of an issue more than hardware price issue

From personal experience, my 8350 has been great in games, however it still cannot reach an i5 performance-wise in more cpu intensive games such as minecraft and skyrim. I have an 8350 because of mantle coming out is supposed to help developers utilize more cores however since you have an nvidia gpu i would stick with the i5. In terms of how long it will last, I have no clue except for the fact it is a notoriously warm processor and unless you have very decent cooling or do not overclock its life could be shortened significantly.

It can beat the i5 in more gpu focused games, and it seems as if games are starting to really optimize many cores, so in some sense the 8350 will last a long time, or at least it will function much better later on. However in raw performance the i5 is a fantastic processor, and will most likely perform marginally better currently.
If you want the 8350:

Motherboards are another big question for the cpu, the asrock board shown here is at your price point and looks fantastic, but is currently sold out:

If you are more interested in overclocking, and have sufficient cooling to overclock, i would recommend this board (it IS above your price point, however it is a fantastic motherboard, i have one currently):

Also do you have a cooler you would use IF you do use the 8350, and not the stock one? I am in the process of finding a cooler and the stock one makes ridiculous amounts of noise under load, however it gets the job done in a non overclocked cpu.

To answer your question without the deviation, yes, it will definitely run next gen titles well.
