Does POE require a certain ethernet?
Can i run my wireless access point in POE?
Do i need any extra hardware to run my WAP in POE?
What is a POE switch and a POE injector and how are they different?
Can i run any WAP in POE?

I know these are a lot of questions so just answer what you know.
Any help would be much appreciated.

If you really want details search for 802.3af which is the standard PoE is based on. The nasty problem you will find is a bunch of manufactures have made their own version of PoE that are not compatible with the standard 802.3af. This means the answer to your question is different for each of these non standard things.

I would search the specifications to see if it run 802.3af...or the newer 802.3at. This equipment is compatible between different manufactures and tends to be easier to know what will work and what will not. For example the distance your cable can be is much shorter on the non standard PoE systems.
Power Over Ethernet are for those occasions, you have to place your device(s) in a place with no wall power. All these stuff are on WIKI/Internet if you just Google it.

Devices that runs on POE are special, so not all device can do it, so you are to be prepared to pay more. Said device MUST specifically say WORKS COMPATIBLE POE.

Am not totally versed on the terminology but I believe the "injector" is the ethernet device, with the beefy power supply 48v? (now this box needs to have a power plug) to supply power, via a ethernet cable, to the far-away device that needs data and power simultaneously on this one cable.
