I need to find a GPU for my work computer (Dell Optiplex 390)

Don't get that 240, it sucks. Get a 750ti. The perfect budget/lowerpowerusage/add-in card there is.

if you are worried about fitting the card in the case you still want to go with a GDDR5 card even if its only 1GB vs 2GB.

Take a look at the case. It is tiny. Thin. Compact. I have a 750Ti in one of my sysems, it would be too tall. My best bet is the low profile card linked below.

Did you look at the links I gave you above they are low profile cards the main thing being they use GDDR5 which is much better than DDR3.
