Hello im about to order the MB and the SSD, but i noticed another PSU on sale but i don't know if the brand is any good it had mostly good review. its 55 dollors cheaper then the Corsair and seems to have the same if not better designs as well.
Can some one tell me which to get or recommend another one since im not ready to build the rig just yet? However I need to know to deal cause the coupon expires today on the raidmax.

The 2 Year Warranty for the Raidmax is a joke. This tells me that even Raidmax doesn't put much trust in the quality of their own product.

You should ask yourself why the Corsair TX850 has a 5 Year Warranty. Its quality and electrical performance are superior to what Raidmax offers.

Don't be swayed by 80 PLUS certification marketing hype.

The Corsair TX850 is certified Haswell compatible. The Raidmax RX-850AE isn't.
Go with the Corsair. I only buy Corsair, Seasonic and Antec power supplies - they might claim the same specs - but often they are not, or they use inferior parts. Building a great PC like you are building - don't chance it to save a few bucks on a power supply....

Both isn't good. For a 850W, a bronze PSU will hinder you severely in the future. I would rather get a 750W with 80+ Gold rated. THe raidmax listed is gold rated but, raidmax isn't that good. There are some Corsair AX750W and the EVGA NEX750G

Both at reasonable price aswell. As far as you go into CX, 850W is not needed for CX 7970. Unless you are going 3 way in the future, 850W is redundant.

The RaidMax PSU is built by Andyson, and while it is a somewhat decent PSU, I wouldn't get it. First, it is branded a Raidmax - they have such a bad reputation that I'm shocked they haven't changed their name. Second, the build quality (component quality) of this line of Andyson units is ok, but not great. And third - it doesn't actually give you 80+ Gold efficiency as this review points out: http://hardocp.com/article/2011/02/23/raidmax_rx1000ae_1000w_power_supply_review/9#.UebkrW0kzW8

Bottom line: Don't get the Raidmax - get the Corsair.

Raidmax, no.

Some Rosewill supplies are good budget supplies. But you need to research them.

In your price/power range I would recommend these instead:

I've personally had EXCELLENT experiences with PC Power and Cooling andthe 750w unit I suggested is SILVER rated. If it is like the 950w unit I'm currently using, the fan continues spinning for 1 min after power down to cool the supply off and extend its lifespan.

Seasonic is also a great brand.

Antec is very good and you can get a 900w Bronze for the price of the 850w bronze you were looking at.

i plan on crossfiring in the future sso im gonna need the 850

thanks a bunch but i need a 850 if im gonna crosfire

yea i noticed as well about the 4th gen cert. thanks

You all have awesome answers i cant decided which of you gets the best solution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i need for sure a 80 watt psu for crossfire. and its gonna need at lest 4 pic e 6+2 pin cords

I have to agree.

I have a pair of 7950's in crossfire with an OC's Phenom II x6 1090t. The CPU is at 4.0GHz 1.475v, the video cards are at 1000/1400 max 1.25v (Windforce 3 gen 3 set :) is locked VRU but still awesome) On FULL CPU and video card load running Crysis 3 it pulls 660-680w from the wall.

Haswell CPU will use a little less pwoer, but the 7970's will use a bit more so it will be very close to even.

You could do it with a 750w unit, but the cooling fan will be louder and it will be closer to the limit. An 850w or better will be good, but I highly recommend the Antec 900w for your config. That will give you plenty of headroom for capacitor aging, future upgrades and will keep heat and noise in the midrange of what the PSU can do instead of pushing the limits.

sad face....it doesent have 4 6+2 pin. haks

I thought only the 6GB models of the Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition cards required 2X150 Watt 8-pin PCI Express power connectors.

The 3GB model required 1X75 Watt 6-pin & 1X150 Watt 8-pin PCI Express power connectors.

yea thats what i have is the GHz edition

Are you saying that your 3GB card requires 2X150 Watt 8-pin PCI Express power connectors?

yea i just was hopping the raidmaax was gonna be the under the radar company that just happen to have good products as low of a chance i knew that had of being true. lulz.

i figured a corsair or another good company is the better choice. its not that my budget is 60 for a psu but if i can shave money off on one part i can put that money into another

I understand the money savings thing, as do the others; but you won't save anything if you use an unreliable PSU that 'blows-up or Blows-out" and takes you mobo, RAM, and or CPU. I have had it happen, twice.
Check out this post on eggxpert and read some of the information. RaidMax is still at the bottom.

Update: There are two GHz editions by Sapphire, a 3GB and 6GB, you indicated in OP that you had the 3GB.
Please clarify for the others.
As ko888 said, only the 6GB has 2 8pin connections (also per Sapphires web site info).

well then they must have sent me a 6 GB card instead of a 3 GB card. cause i certainly have 2 8 pin connectors

yes it has 2 8 pin connectors in it. maybe they sent me the wrong card? lulz. dam it then i would need to buy another 6 gb card just to use the full memory!!!!!! and here i wanted something with at lest 3 full or mini display ports
