I just bought a new laptop and it has both an ssd and hdd. The OS is installed on the ssd and I want to move it to the hdd so I have the ssd freed up for games and whatnot. How do I do this?
Make a disk image of the SSD, then restore it to the HDD. The HDD will want to be empty. Clean the SSD and use it for your other stuff. Btw, that is the exact opposite of what most folks do.

Your desire is entirely backwards.
You want the OS and applications on the SSD. The HDD for other stuff, including games.
