i need to overclock my q6600 and how to do it?(im a noob)

hi guys,i know that u need to go to bios to overclock it but do i need to change the voltage or if you know how much to increase the voltage pls tell me.(im planning to go as high as 3.0ghz)

here my system spec if that help:

intel core 2 quad q6600 with cooler master hyper 212
radeon hd 5870
8gb ddr3 ram
powerlogic 500watt psu
gigabyte mobo

NOTE: I wouldn't suggest overclocking this CPU with a 500w no-name PSU.

if your MB supports 1333 FSB it easy to get 3GHz. But it's also easy to upgrade to a better CPU.
