I need to restart notebook to get full screen on external monitor

Hi,

I am using Windows 7. I use external monitor connected to my notebook. When ever i connect the laptop to external monitor through VGA cable, It gives display on external monitor but not full screen. I have to reboot everytime to get full screen display which is annoying a lot.

Can i have solution from someone for this issue.

Boot with the external monitor already connected, don't connect after you have powered up and booted.

Thanks. that works fine but that is not the solution for me. I take my laptop at work in sleep mode with applications opened which makes my work easier. I dont want to shut down and boot up my laptop with external monitor connected.
