Hello,
When playing games my computer randomly shuts down. At first I thought my PSU was shot but then I noticed by CPU hitting around 70-75. Would this account for my computer shutting down? I have a stock heat sink but if this is the case I will buy an after market one.
Thoughts on this would be appreciated :)

great low budget cooler for that CPU are the zalman cnps10x optima and the coolermaster hyper 212 EVO.
they're nearly identical.(the zalman one is a little bit louder but has the same cooling performance, give or take 1 degree celsius difference)
and if you did some overclocking you should clock back to the normal settings for now, or try cleaning the heatsink, maybe it's full of dust. adding an exhaust fan in your case might help aswell. do you have any casefans?

the safe max temp for my fx 8320 is 63 degrees, I think it's the same for an fx 8350 so those temps are defenitly to high yes!

if you could give some more specifics about your PC, that might help, i'm especially interested in the case and if there are any fans installed. and...

Thanks for the prompt reply. I don't suppose you know how to disable safety options? Also is that safe to do?
