Question I replaced my broken Mother Board and now my windows wont start

In the future I will probably buy a new upgrade, I'm more likely shifting over to linux or something but I will never upgrade to the newer windows! I think my option for now is to try buy a new product activation key, I'm ok with this ..... I wish some body had told me b4 i changed motherboards windows is tied to the hardware not the hard drive .... needless to say I still had to change motherboards because the old one was going bad on it's last legs. It would of saved me sooooo much time and sleepless nights this past few weeks.

If I buy a new product activation key license what is the procedure of putting it into the pc from CMD Prompt since it wont completely start?
 
I'm not really sure if that's a workable solution.

That GenuineTicket file still is the lock with wrong hardware showing in that file even if your were to be successful with installing a different registration windows key.

That would be like changing your phone # and expecting again the wrong house keys to now work.

I still feel post #22 is the most likely band aid.
