I rewired my PC and now I get absolutely nothing from it

I've been using my PC for about a year and half now and I've never liked the cable management of it, so today I finally decided to do something about it and rewire the entire PC. I spent several hours rewiring everything and at the end I was really pleased with the cable management. So I go plug it in and turn the PSU on... nothing. Absolutely nothing. None of the lights turn on like they should. I try pressing the power switch on the case and the start button on the motherboard and neither of them do anything. So I turn the PSU off again, unplug it, go around and check every connection, making sure all of the connections in the PSU are connected properly, checking that the 24 motherboard cable is connected properly, checking that the 4 and 8 pin CPU connections are connected properly (my motherboard has both). After doing that everything seems fine. So I plug it back in again and turn the PSU on... again nothing. I have no idea why this is happening and it's unlikely that it's a broken PSU or PSU cable since they were working just fine before I rewired everything, and if I'd somehow managed to break the motherboard the lights on the graphics card above the power connectors should still come on. Here's a gallery just in case you can notice something I don't.

I fixed it... but I have no idea how or what went wrong in the first place. I just unplugged everything from the PSU and then plugged everything back in. I can only guess that something was plugged in wrong.

I did, yes. The switch on the wall socket is also turned on.

Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z. And since I've overclocked my FX-8120 from 3.1GHz to 4.62GHz I appreciate it having both.

can you see the psu fan spinning?

and are you in a country where the plug has a fuse in it?

The PSU fan doesn't spin, no. And I live in the UK, so I'm pretty sure we have fuses in our plugs. I've tried in different plug sockets though and other things work in that plug socket.

unless its a psu with a semi passive fan you should see it spin

yes we have fuses in the uk plugs

few possibilities

fuse in plug has gone

you have a short some where--unplug the front usb and audio from the motherboard and try

and as wernstar said disconnect the 24 pin and 8 pin and 4 pin and try jumping the psu

Not sure if I'm being of any help. But I really think you should mount the system outside your case to check dead shorts (make sure you plug only the necessary parts to make it work).
If case the problem persists I guess the PSU somehow is dead

yes you are helping

just that would have come later as its a lot more work

checking the plug fuse is one of the first things--people not in a country where plugs have fuses in them this might sound strange

disconnecting the psu and jumping it rules out a short but shows if the psu is working--to a point at least--if the psu fan spins

disconnecting front usb/audio is common way of finding shorts as they can cause these symptoms

I probably should've mentioned: the PSU does have a Semi Passive fan, but there is a switch on the PSU to turn it on and off. I'll try jumping the PSU.
