i recently bought 2x8 3600 mhz ram but i realize the motherboard i bought (b350 pc mate) has a 3200mhz speed limit will it still work?

With memory....for the most part...no one can say for sure.
Being you have the memory and the mb......try it.
I think there's a decent chance it might work.

It should work but you may need to manually setup the RAM instead of using XMP/DOCP

Check your motherboard qvl list. If it's not on there, it's not certain it will work without an issue.
