Okay this was an amateur mistake it's my first build. I bought Asus A97 R2.0 motherboard, amd fx 6300 processor, 2 rip jaws ddr3 2gb ram, radeon r9 270 video card, cx430 corsair psu and if it matters a nzxt 210 elite case with 2 fans. I searched a build under 600 dollars bought everything exactly to their blueprint, here's a link sorry if it's not allowed to post them I'm going out on a limb. http://lifehacker.com/5840963/the-best-pcs-you-can-build-for-600-and-1200

Obviously it's the 2nd one. I hit a speed bump my psu has (*1)6 pcie and another wire with 2,(*2) my video card has a slot for 2 6wires (sorry bad terminology). (*3)now I'm not sure if I'm supposed to use this other cord to act as an adapter or if these aren't compatible. Please help I'm so lost and just want to power this thing up.
