Question I think I'm having memory issues? But I'm unsure, detailed below:

I recently upgraded my rig to an i9-13900K, new motherboard, and DDR5 RAM. That was a couple of months ago, and everything's been running smoothly. Up until about a week ago where applications keep closing/reloading of their own accord. Discord for example has been reloading up to 5 times per minute. Chrome pages are crashing or closing the application entirely (it crashed typing this, so I've had to type it on Notepad lol. I'll attach an image below) the status code leads me to believe it's memory related? But honestly I have no clue, just about every application is impacted by this and my patience is wearing more and more thin each time it happens. A full spec list of my computer:

CPU - 13th Gen Intel Core i9-13900K
GPU - NVidia GeForce RTX STRIX 3090 OC
Motherboard - ROG Strix Z790-F
RAM - 4x 16GB Corsair Dominator RGB DDR5 7000MT/s (64GB)

OS - Windows 10 Pro N Build: 19045.3324

If you need anymore information on the specs I'm more than happy to provide.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks a lot

The issue is you have too many RAM sticks installed. Unfortunately DDR5 is not stable with all 4 DIMMs installed at the same time for most models. The manufacturer has a list of official supported memory configurations that also includes the total max amount of units with said RAM modules.
At the current moment, if you wish to keep your RAM at 7000MHz, you can only run your PC with 2 sticks installed at a time.

If however you want to run all 4 sticks, you would need to take off XMP. and let it run at default clock rate.

Ah okay! I just disabled XMP and reverted my AI overclocking to Normal.

My PC has BSOD'd at least 5 times within 30 minutes. With the stop code APC_INDEX_MISMATCH with no file reference in the error. Would this be caused by the RAM issue you stated? And would it also explain the crashes of applications? I'm only asking this because I've had XMP I enabled for quite some time now and it's only just recently started doing this.

Yeah, I had the exact same issues; BSODs constantly and application crashes. It worked fine for me too for a while at the beginning. I have a 7950X and 4x6000MHz 16GB. Took 2 out, works with no issue now. Also worked when disabling XMP. And I have an MSI Meg Ace motherboard, a 700$ motherboard mind you. Apparently the model RAM I bought was not listed as supported for 4 dimms at xmp.

Give it a couple of days and see if your computer runs without issue when disabling xmp.

It's a pretty well known issue among the PC community at this point.
