I've an old computer that my family has had for the last while. They turned it on after a few weeks disconnected and no signal comes to any monitor from Any of the ports. The card is a radeon he 6870 1gb and the most is Asus p7p550-e lx. The move doesn't have a default vga that I can test either.

Has anyone got any suggestions as to what I can do?

That is one example of blown capacitors, yes. Non-solid ones might be bulging or might have leaked.
And yes, reseating means removing / disconnecting things then putting them right back in place. It basically accounts for the possibility of corrosion on contacts.
My suspicion is that you'd get the most useful answers if you list the rest of your components.
In the meantime, it may be useful to open it up and A) reseat all cards and connectors, and the RAM. There is no need to loosen or remove the CPU or CPU cooler; and B) make sure nothing has crawled into it and croaked, leaving a residue; and C) if there are non-solid capacitors on the board, make sure none are swollen, popped, and/or leaking.

What other components would you be looking for? I really have no idea what would be needed.

I know it's 8gb ram 750w power supply.

I realise my above post was written from my phone and auto correct - changed mobo twice -.-
