I just recently kinda finished my first build ever. I have a problem though. I can boot to the bios just fine when my gpu is not installed, but when it is installed, nothing. The red vga LED button lights up on my motherboard. Everything inside my computer starts, case fans, cpu fan, the lights, everything. Even the gpu lights and fans start. But that VGA LED button lights up every time and I can't get to the bios.
My specs are:
i7 6700k
Enermax ETS-T40F-W 105.9
Asus Z170-A
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB DDR4 2800
Samsung 850 EVO 250gb
WD Blue 1TB
Zotac 1070 AMP Extreme
EVGA SuperNOVA G2 550W 80+ Gold
I have it connected with the VGA cables that came with my PSU. The 6+2 pin side inside the gpu and the 8pin inside the PSU. I tried different slots and tried using the splitters that came with the GPU. Didn't fix anything. I actually wouldn't be surprised if it was a motherboard problem though because it shorted 2 of the SATA cables it came with the first time I booted (I only have 1 for my SSD now). But yea, any suggestions on things I can try? Or did I just get a bad GPU?
