Hey everyone, here is my current configuration:
i5 4690k
ASUS STRIX GTX 970
ASUS Z97-E MOBO
4x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws Series X RAM
EVGA 550GS PSU
I just moved all of these goodies from my old Phanteks Enthoo Pro case to my new Phanteks Enthoo Evolv TG case -- Once I booted it up, everything was fine. During a session of Borderlands Pre-Sequel, the game crashed and the screen went black, I didn't think anything of it, rebooted, and everything was back to normal. The next day, during Borderlands Pre-Sequel, it crashed again, I rebooted, and it was fine. About an hour later, it crashed, and when I rebooted, I got nothing on the monitor. I switched to the onboard DVI output and my login/desktop/everything works fine. It's when I plug into the GPU that I get no picture at all. Here's what I've tried so far:
I'm at a loss, and really frustrated because this is my first PC build, and it's been perfect for over a year, but the fact that it's potentially crapped out after just a year makes me kind of mad. I'm open to trying whatever -- Unfortunately I don't have a spare GPU or MOBO or another computer to try the GPU in. I'm open to any ideas anyone might have to help me out with this. I've heard horror stories of ASUS' support, so i'm dreading shipping it off. I do already have an approved RMA to ship it off, but wan to try one last ditch effort to prevent having to do that and be down for a couple of weeks. I greatly appreciate anyone's recommendations! Please let me know what other info you might need and I'll provide it asap.
Thanks,
Captain

■ Uninstall/Reinstall GPU -- still no image
■ Installed GPU into PCI Slot #2 -- still nothing
■ Removed GPU, booted up off of onboard DVI, uninstalled all Nvidia graphics drivers that I found, ran ccleaner, then shut down
■Installed GPU and rebooted, still nothing, switched back to onboard DVI and re-downloaded drivers from Asus website for my GPU, when installing, it says it doesn't recognize any hardware, so it wouldn't install
■In device manager, it doesn't show my GPU at all
■There is power to the GPU, as the power light is on, when booting, the fans spin for about 5 seconds on the GPU, then stop. The power light stays on
