Question I used to get 300+ frames and now I'm struggling to get 200

I got this PC about 4 years ago, but that isn't that old. I used to get 300+ frames on CSGO , but now I'm going down to 140. People have there PC's for more than 5 years and can still run CSGO perfectly. So I'd really want to know if my PC is overheating or if my GPU or CPU is getting bottlenecked. I've been running MSI afterburner for about 2 months on the two main games I play, which is Apex Legends and CSGO and I've noticed that my CPU is around 90%, while my GPU is at 80% on Apex Legends. Then on CSGO my CPU is close to 100%, while my GPU won't go past 50% no matter the settings, or resolution. I tried everything in the nvidia control panel. I'm not turning on vsync because that adds a lot of input lag. I'm a competitive player, so anything that'll give me a disadvantage I won't bother turning on, or off. In apex legends I can go down to 70 fps in gunfights. My friend basically has the same rig. He has a i7 6700k, gtx 1070 (idk how much RAM) and he gets a consistent 144+ frames. Please if anybody else had this problem can you PLEASE HELP ME?!!!

My specs : GTX 1070 , i7 6700 , 16GB of RAM (1 stick)

(130 FRAMES ON CSGO)

What I would do is a clean install of your GPU drivers using DDU. Like that if Windows Update screwed up your display drivers it will fix the issue.

Another thing. You're using 1 stick of RAM. Your friend is probably using 2 sticks?

Using 1 stick of RAM = You're not in Dual Channel. Which mean that you're cutting your memory bandwidth by half. In some titles that's a 30% lost in FPS.

If your friend has 2 sticks in Dual Channel he will have more fps than you.

I thought it was based off of how much memory your RAM has. I have 16 GB but only have 1 stick. If he has 2 sticks of 8GB he'll have more frames than me? Also I'm going to try to do what you just told me and get back with you after.

Yes. If he has 2 sticks his RAM is working in Dual Channel. When using only 1 stick you're in Single Channel and lose performance. This is why people always recommend a 2 sticks RAM kit and not only 1 stick.

I know this isn't your issue because you already had 300 fps and now you don't so it's not your ram of course but with 2 sticks in dual channel your 300 fps would have been 350.

Let's see if a DDU -> GPU drivers install will fix your issue.

My frames are still the same.

CPU and GPU temperatures at IDLE and in-game?
I didn't download geforce experience I can't clip to see what my CPU and GPU is constantly. I glanced at it while shooting and the CPU was at 83% while the GPU was at 49%. I'm not sure how to look at my temperatures without being in a game with MSI afterburner.

Not really sure what you're asking, but since I didn't download geforce experience I can't clip to see what my CPU and GPU is constantly. I glanced at it while shooting and the CPU was at 83% while the GPU was at 49%

Download HWINFO64 - https://www.hwinfo.com/files/hwi_622.exe

Start the program and click on "Run sensors only". The window popping up after that will have everything you want. What I want to know is your CPU and GPU temperature while you're not doing anything in Windows and your temperatures when you game a play.

It won't download after I click "Free download"<Local(U.S.) It just reloads the page over and over. On the top right it also says download, but it just reloads the page as well.

That's the IDLE temperatures. Now go in-game and play for 10 minutes and check the temperatures.
Max GPU is 53 , max CPU is 67 and I'm playing a game on 80fps on csgo -_- Not sure if it was because there was 24 people in the server, but I really doubt that would cause my frames to plummet that low. I used to play zombie servers with 64 people and it never went that low. Also when I start csgo it's capped at 120fps only at the main menu. It doesn't change unless I add the command "fps_max 0". If I put fps_max 144, 240, 300, etc It stays at 120 until I get into a match.
