I want a quiet CD ROM drive

I have a LG CDR that is really nice and quiet. Then there is this panasonic(Creative) CDROM Drive that shakes the whole tower despite my attempts to cushion its contacts with the case. The LG piece is nice quality and heavy dutily built while the creative one is basically a POS. What cheap drive do you all recommend that is sturdy and quiet?

Yeah, i've heard LGs are nice and quiet. If you wanna go the DVD route, grab a pioneer 16x. I have one and they are as quiet as hell. Although i am having a couple issues with it 🙁
