cross fire is when you add two card that is the same and increase the GPU performance but the video memory is not shared...

performancewise, the 6950 and 560ti are close enough to eachother that, for all intents and purposes, you wouldn't notice a difference.

with that said, yes, the 560ti has physx, and that may be your deciding factor.
