Hi guys!

I'm getting down to my last few choices on what I want to buy but there are a few things that I don't understand.

Here is what I'm looking at and it's at a great price right now!:

https://www.amazon.com/iBUYPOWER-Computer-Desktop-i9-9900k-9240/dp/B07J59V6PR/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1543292270&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=iBUYPOWER+Pro+Gamer+Computer+Desktop+PC+Intel+i9-9900k

What I don't understand is this: what is "Bluetooth ready" and what does it mean? Secondly, when it says that it has 802.11AC Wi-Fi, does that mean that it already has a wi-fi card installed?

Please help! This "Lightning Deal" is only available until about 2:30-2:45am! So, I need to make a decision TONIGHT!!

Hard to say since they don't list the motherboard and the iPower site doesn't list this specific model. At a guess, since other prepackeged models specifically list having wifi, I'd say it probably has a slot for an m.2 wifi/bluetooth card to be plugged in.

Well, so far, I've just been told not to buy this system, but nobody would just answer my question! The one thing I want when I come to this site for advice is this: I want to learn!

Thank you for answering my question 😍

Btw, if anyone is interested, I will NOT be buying a system from IBUYPOWER

It's unfortunately a habit a lot of geeks get in to on the forums, where they try to point you in a better direction without addressing the question itself. It's always driven me up the wall when it's been done to me and embarrassing when I realize I've done it myself, so I try not shove my opinion down without at least addressing things first.

As for the whole not buying iBuyPower. Yeah they don't have a good rep with a lot of the people who end up having to fix them. If you want to go with a prebuilt, or custom built system I'd really suggest checking out Maingear. For the price, along with their customer service/tech support, it can be worth it if you don't want to build it yourself. That said, why don't you want to try building it yourself? Short of some amazing sale, you generally get more bang for your buck with building your own.

IBUYPOWER generally does not have a good reputation as far as builds go. You can definitely search the forums here and there's tons of threads dedicated to iBUYPOWER build fails. They're also known for a tendency to use generic, low quality parts like PSUs (which is always a no), RAM and hard drives. They're generally known for shoddy workmanship and a tendency to rush things together, and then when (not if) you call their technical support for an RMA, they will hose you for shipping charges since you will more often than not have to send the whole machine back to them.Overall, generally not a good company to work with.

Bluetooth ready means you can connect your PC to a bluetooth device such as headphones, gaming controllers.

Yes 802.11AC means built in WiFi.

The ad itself was pretty misleading, which is what adds to the confusion. It said "wifi and bluetooth ready", where other models explicitly stated it had wifi. Some of the motherboards options their online configuration includes are models that are Wifi ready with an m.2 slot meant for add on cards like the Intel 6260. So wifi ready could just mean it has a dedicated slot for it instead of including the wifi card.

Hi.
I would suggest building your own to your specifications. I knew nothing about building a pc but with a bit of research it's not that difficult and the pride that comes with it being yours is great and you'll look back and laugh at the money you saved. There is plenty of help online especially this site. I'm 38 and I'm overclocking for fun and I didn't know what overclocking is or existed. Good luck on whatever you decide.
