ARGH, HELP. I'm trying the same thing with the ASUS Suite tool. It won't work!!!
Board is ASUS RAMPAGE V Extreme U.3
Can you be more specific?
Sure thing:
I'm just trying to get MyLogo to work.
It comes with the software suite, so I'll assume it's supported.
I tried chat first, but the tech just told me to reinstall the software. I did that, and it still doesn't work.
Looking around the forums, I've found that the image for the logo should be 16-bit, 640x480 and less than 150kB in size.
All of this is correct.
When I run the app via the AI Suite 3, the preview looks like the logo works.
Steps done:
- Open AI Suite 3
- Open EZ Update
- Click on three dots button to pick a BIOS file
- Choose file RAMPAGE-V-EXTREME-ASUS-3701 from my pen drive
- Click "MyLogo"
- Click on three dots button to pick an image file
- Choose my .jpg file <- (also tried this with a PNG and BMP files, all under 150k and 640x480)
- Click "Update" button
- On screen "BIOS update may take 3-5 minutes", click "Flash"
- Popup shows, "Update BIOS to 3701." Click OK
- New popup shows, "The system requires a restart for the BIOS to take effect. Click OK to restart instantly."
I think the problem is here, because as soon as I click Flash, it fills up the progress bar immediately and it doesn't run for the estimated 3-5 minutes.
Also, the new file is the same date as the unmodified downloaded file, so I don't think it's being updated with the new logo.
- Click OK, system shuts down instead of restarting
- Power up machine again
- Hit DEL to go into BIOS
- Flash the new file via "TOOL"
- System reboots
- Asks to go into BIOS via F1 as if it's the first time turning it on
- Nothing changed. ROG logo still there.
I'm sure I'm either doing something wrong, or there's an issue with the software. HELP!!!
Thanks in advance.
