I have a Dell vostro 14 3468 laptop.
I need to know if i can insert some good Nvidia gpu in it instead of the default Intel hd graphics 620. I want to put atleast a GTX 750TI in it. I doubt that i could do that but when I was reading the online specs of this laptop, They said it has a dedicated gpu of AMD. But when I got it, it didn't. Kindly tell me if I can insert a dedicated gpu in it or not. I need to use Architectural softwares on it. Which cannot be used with integrated intel graphics.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of how laptops are constructed, each one is rather unique. There aren't many standards for how to design and assemble them, so they all end up pretty different on the inside.

Not to mention that the power delivery systems are only designed to power the components that the laptop comes with. Somehow adding another power hungry component (like a graphics card) could lead to a fire.

This all assumes that your laptop even has a connector and space inside for a mobile GPU. Not to mention that if it does, we'd need to find one that can fit and that doesn't overload your battery or charger.

I need a few minutes to familiarize myself with your model before I give you my final answer, but most likely...

Update: That laptop is just a regular Dell with a fancy business name slapped on it. There are versions of the Vostro 14 available that have the AMD graphics built in, but I don't see where it guarantees that it comes with your version of the model.

Problem 1: It's too thin to have room to add a mobile GPU.

Problem 2: Its power supply and battery do not appear to be designed with an upgrade in mind. Increasing power draw may lead to a fire.

Even if you pull one from a different version of the Vostro 14 that has it already in it, this laptop is not capable of receiving a mobile GPU.

The laptop does not have the necessary connector. If it did, I would have considered suggesting this. However, these things don't always go as simple as the instructions say they will. Often times, getting them operational requires good knowledge of how Windows communicates with external devices, as well as the ability to make a backup before starting the next step which requires the confidence of trusting yourself in the registry without ruining your current install of Windows.

When paired with a laptop that's ready to receive these external enclosures, they often work rather well. OP's laptop is not ready to receive one, and no amount of tinkering in Windows is not going to get it ready.

@Danger_123 I'm sorry to say that, whether internal or external, your laptop cannot accept a dedicated graphics card.
