I want to make a private torrent tracker hosted on my PC

I want to make a private torrent tracker hosted on my PC (especially for my friends to share stuff) on Windows OS (I have XP SP3)


Before you try to help me, please note that:


1) I am completely NOOB in programming;

2) Before I made this topic, I searched the internet and learnt some interesting general stuff about torrent trackers (not so noob now 😀 );

3) I have a general idea about a torrent tracker, programs, scripts needed, but I don't know how to program them extremely and make them work together);

4) My PC has performant hardware and a super internet connection:

5) The programs I need to create a torrent tracker should be features-rich, yet pretty simple (do such programs really exist ?!)

6) Is it easier and features-richer and recommendable to use CMS (content management system) programs to make a private tracker?

7) And, finally, please teach me step by step matrix and offer LINKS (if you are a cute person 😍 ), otherwise I'm sure I'm gonna lose the way...


!!! In the beginning I heard I need a program that makes my PC run as a server (it contains stuff like: Apache HTTPD +Openssl, MySQL, PHP 5, PHP 4, phpMyAdmin, Zend Optimizer, etc., an e-mail client Mercury Mail, FTP client Fillezilla, etc.). So are XAMPP and WampServer2.0i good programs ?! Which is the best one?


!!! What tracker versions/styles should I choose? Those with an install.php or without it? Which are the best?


!!! Which tracker scripts are the best? Torrent Trader, xBTIT, TBDEV scripts, Free Torrent Source v2.0, etc.?


P.S.: I think many people want to make their own private torrent trackers, so I hope that my post and your answers will represent a great interest for them. So let's make it like a guide or something.

Well since no one wants to answer or this forum doesn't deal with p2p [like other stupid forums told me as they are my boss or what?!], then I grabbed the whole process with my bare hands and started to built my own private tracker.

I succeeded! It took me a 24/7 work! [I even lost my job for this 😀 - anyway it was a louzy job don't worry )]

Now I'm working at a complete guide following the upper rules. I will post it everywhere so everyone can find it through a simple search with google.

P.S.: I don't give a link to my tracker because XAMPP has big security issues and I don't want hackers to burn my PC [the server of my tracker is my PC]. And I sure don't wanna lose my family files Bye!
