I want to replace my processor on my pc

I want to replace my intel N3050 processor with an intel core i3 processor so i can run games faster and with less lag. is it a good idea to replace it or will my computer not work. Please respond soon Thanks.

which computer/laptop? if the CPU is soldered to the mainboard a swap will not be possible.
you will be limited to a select few i3 you will need to keep the wattage as close to the n3050 (6W) as possible.
I do not know of any i3 with such a low power draw.

I do not think there are any braswell based i3's

All Intel N3050 processors I have seen have been soldered to the motherboard.
Which computer model do you have?

I think he definitely has a laptop and not a desktop. If that is the case I would try and sell your laptop and get a desktop or a laptop with the money you can gather and then the community can help you with the specs etc

I don't think it can be replaced however have you tried updating the iGPU drivers?

The cpu is bga. Is is also a mobile chip so you are likely working on a laptop, an all in one, or some sff type system where replacing the motherboard for one with a better cpu or a PGA or LGA socket will be difficult, expensive or outright impossible.
