I have a lot of important files and programs that won't run on Win7. I want to swap out the HD a Dell Vostro 460 and install my old drive with WinXP and all my programs already loaded. I just can't find XP drivers for the Vostro hardware. HELP!?!?!

LOL..

about 95% of your items can be in win 7 using windows 7 compatibility mode...

You should try looking into that..

Also, if you MUST have xp drivers, you will need to find a detailed spec list of you desktop, then go to each manufacture website for each product and download the drivers for xp indivitually.. (if they make them). There is little hope for that to happen since xp is being phased out and dell tends to make their PC's with proprietary parts. GL though

If the Dell has the original parts, it's a simple as going to the Dell Support website and inputting the Dell Service Tag. It'll then show you all the drivers you can download. There should be a sticker on it somewhere with the information.
