I can currently run Doom with my CPU and GPU slightly over clocked at high with some settings on medium at 40-80 fps. I wanna be able to max this game. Or come close. What do I need to do to my PC? Pls help.
Amd 8350 4.0ghz
Radeon HD XFX 7970 DD
4*4gb ddr3

Solution
Bethesda's recommended system requirements:
Recommended Spec (1080p)

Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
Intel Core i7-3770 or better / AMD FX-8350 or better
8GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (4GB) or better / AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB) or better
Up to 22GB HDD space
Steam account
Broadband internet connection

So it looks like you could use a better graphics card.

Yeah. What gpu should I get?

I recommend waiting until the 1070 comes out. Because you can either get one of those, or get the 970, because it will be cheaper than it currently is.

Would the performance increase still be noticable before my CPU starts to bottleneck if I get the 1070? Or would I need to be looking into a new CPU as well? I am hoping I can see a large performance jump with just the 1070 and then upgrade my CPU in like 6 months or so. Thoughts?

I wouldn't think your cpu would bottleneck the 1070 too much, and there would definitely be a major performance increase, even if there was a bottleneck.

Very good to hear, thank you for the input. So looks like I will wait for the 1070.
