I was about to buy a used i5 8600k but I noticed this...

As you can see in the image, one of the gold contacts has chipped off.

The guy had not used his pc in a while but he said it was working just fine. I'm holding off on buying it since I didn't have thermal paste nor did he.

In the mean time I want to know if any of you have had happen to you? And if so, did it work?

If it's the contact I think you're referring to (12th row from the bottom, 4 in from the left) I doubt it will affect anything.
