Solution
The HDMI to VGA adapter would have to be 'active' to work..... but if you're running DVI-VGA, it may not be.

Older, 'basic' adapters to go from DVI to VGA required DVI-I, which carried both a digital AND analog signals.

As of the 10 series, you have DVI-D (digital only) so, similarly, you need to run DVI-VGA via an 'active' adapter.

 nevermind, you're right. I'm not sure what I was thinking.... It must be the angle of the pic; I thought it looked too thin on the VGA end......

I hope these pics help!!!!

These are some answers of the questions asked above from me:

Q1. Why i paired a 1050ti with a 720p LCD?
Ans. Cause i wanted to play all latest AAA games on ULTRA settings!!!

Q2. The condition of my VGA cable is too bad( insulation tape used).
Ans. The condition is fine as it is working with connector "y"

Q3. Why I am trying to switch from the connector "y" to connector "x"?
Ans. Cause games have became a little darker since i started using my new GPU (1050ti) With "y" connector, so i googled the problem and found that switching to "x" connector might help.

*****NOTE*******
If you are thinking that what are these "x" or "y" connectors!!! so u can see the pics and u will know!!!

"X" connector is a passive DVI-D to HDMI - it WILL NOT convert the signal. It will not work, simple as that.
bignastyid linked ones earlier, which are the same thing. They do not work.

"Y" is an active HDMI to VGA, that's why it works.

I've linked what you need previously - IF you want to go that route. To me, it makes zero sense to invest in anything for a 19" VGA only monitor in 2018, even if it is only <$10. I'd suggest you continue using the HDMI-VGA adapter if you want to use that monitor for now.

As i saw above that many of you are graphics card experts so let me ask a thing that which one is best for 1080p gaming?
1. GTX 1060 3GB
2. GTX 1060 6GB
3. GTX 980
4. GTX 980ti

So which one of them will give the highest fps?

To be fair they could be handy in the old days,it removed the need to have both dvi & vga connections of the gpu themselves.I have a drawer full of those passive adapters, they used to come in the box with most gpu's from both ati & nvidia.

You are aware you could buy a nice shiny 22-24 inch 1080p screen & still play at 720p should you so wish.
All 1080p monitors also have a 720p native mode.

Also 1080p medium settings will imo always look better than 720p ultra .
1080p with aa disabled is much much sharper than 720p with full AA enabled.

if i will play at 720p on a 1080p lcd then the picture will not be sharp! i tried playing on 800x600 on my current lcd and the picture was looking like sh!t

Scaling on modern digital screens is far better than you're used to on that old monitor.

Id argue that running upscaled 720p on a decent new screen would likely look better than native resolution does on your current screen - bearing in mind you already have some quality loss with the analog conversion.

800x600 is going to look awful on any screen anyway, its incredibly low res.

so you are trying to say that if i will use my new 1080p led on 1280x1024 resolution so the visuals will be MUCH BETTER than using my current monitor on its native resolution???

You cant run 1280x1024 on a modern screen because its 16:9 wideacreen ratio as opposed to your current 4:3 ratio.

You can run
1280x720 (720p)
1920x1080 (1080p)

720p still looks fine on upto a 24inch screen imo
There would actual be a performance benefit at 720p comapred tp 1280x1024 because there is a smaller total pixel count.

That said the 1050ti is capable of full 1080p gaming- & we've all said this - 1080p medium looks better than 720p ultra 99% of the time

Wide-screen ratio also benefits gaming immensely compared to 4:3 that you're running now - you get close to 1/3 extra horizontal viewing.

Are these images captured on 720p?

I googled that, "720p vs 1080p on 24 inch" and 720p was also looking like sh!t on a 1080p lcd!!!!
