[SOLVED] I was wondering how is it that an IPS monitor and a VA monitor from the same model have the same color accuracy?

So I am really wanting to buy the GIGABYTE G27QC 27 inch 165Hz 1440P or the GIGABYTE G27QC 27" 144Hz 1440P ips version and the site and amazon both say that they have the same color accuracy of 92% of the DCI-P3 spectrum. I always wanted an ips monitor because I wanted the better color accuracy and the better looking images. The difference here is 144hz to 165hz which yes is small, but apparently the color accuracy is the same, can anyone help me decide between the two monitors? (I really want the better picture from a monitor)

The spec you're referring to isn't color accuracy. It's color space coverage. It just means that the pure red, green, and blue points form a triangle such that its area covers 92% of the DCI-P3 color space.

If you want to decide between IPS and VA panels, the short of it is:
  • IPS has better viewing angles but you may have issues with "IPS glow." Though this may only be a problem if you view the monitor in dark rooms.
  • VA has better contrast, but limited viewing angles. Not as bad as TN, but not as good as IPS.

And does the ips look better even though the color accuracy is the same?
