I will stream 1080p, do I need 16gb ram, or is 8 fine?

8GB is enough. I also stream and I never have any problem. Your stream quality will also depend on other factors like your other pc components and obviously it will depend on your internet´s upload speed. To have a nice quality of stream it's needed at least 3 mb ps.

No - for gaming, 8gb is fine too.

If so, the performance increase would be minimal, at best, and not really worth the price difference. Although if you have the money, it may be a good idea to put more than 8 GB in, because the standard is now pretty much 8 and it is sure to only go up in the future.

That's the way I'd go and suggest, don't think I've had a client want less than 16GB in about 6+ months now
