[SOLVED] I3 3220 or amd fx 4100

Hey guys, I know these are really old but which one would be better for gaming? I already have the amd 4100, but I can get the i3 3220 and mobo really cheap. Thanks.

Amd 4100 3.6ghz
And r9 380 4gb
8gb ram

I know they both suck lol but would the i3 3220 get me more fps than the 4100? I only play csgo, apex legends and cuisine royale. And it's £10 with all that's happening right now money is very tight. Thanks for the reply.

Honestly, I would save the money toward a more compelling need (or save for a future, modern system).

Between the two, the i3 would be the better choice - have built quite a few old office refurbs using the old core2 series for no-budget college buds, works for old-school CSGO and other source engine games, well worth the 10 quid!

Yes I will go pick it up tomorrow then as I was hesitating whether to get it or not.

And would I see a fps increase over the amd 4100? In games like csgo I get 100 fps minimum and 200 fps max.. And apex legends laggy and then sometimes OK

CSGO maybe not so much difference (it runs well on a dual-core even) but in Apex and other more demanding titles like it should help out with dips / low FPS, single core performance is pretty substantial with core2 vs FX in that respect
