i3 4150 for future gaming

I am building a pc and im tight on budget so i can go for i3 4150.
I wanted to ask as games like fc4 are coming up which require four cores are working on i3 with hyperthreading so will it be a gud choice for future ...will hyperthreading help if games require true 4 cores in future.?
Cant extend to a i5 right now...maybe sometime in future

You can go cheaper get the g3258, oc for similar performance at a cheaper price. And then throw in an i5/i7 later down road when you have the funds.

If you do not plan on upgrading this computer, I suggest getting the fx 6300, and overclock it. It has more threads, which could mean much better future proofing than an i3, and it still performs close enough to i3 in single threaded games to handle a gpu like gtx 970

A motherboard that can support a i3 can also support a i5 or i7 in the future.
Few games make good use of 2 cores, let alone 4 so a i3 should be fine.

A motherboard that supports a FX-6300 may not support a FX-8.
It is a moot point since few games are going to use more than 4 of the 6 FX cores anyway.
Your upgrade options are limited with a FX-6300.

In general, such games as sims, mmo and strategy games are most dependent on one or two fast cores.
Fast action games like shooters are more dependent on fast graphics.

As a guideline, budget 2x the cpu cost for your graphics card.
