i3 540 + ram 4 gb ddr3 1333 problem

i have a core i3 540 with 6 gb of ram (1*2gb , 1*4gb ) , i buy a new memory mustang ddr3 1333 , but it did not work , when i instal that new 4 gb only it remains black screen as there is no memory , i reinstal the old 4 gb and i change the d ram bios from auto to 1333 ( maximum ) same problem , so what that mean i need help please
note : all this 3 memory 2*4gb and the 1*2gb are DS , i try to instal the new 4 gb in another pc and it work at th first time without problem , i have a core i7 860 i dont know if it work with that cpu if the problem in the cpu or not , i dont try with the i7 because i dont have a graphic card , sorry for my english

its very possible it is because of the brand of memory. this is the reason when i buy ram online i always try to get memory from the motherbords QVL list. and if you are going to return it its best to try to get an 8GB kit of 2 4GB sticks

if the PC doesn't boot with all 3 sticks installed then i would understand that because your motherboard only supports a max of 8GB of ram and using all 3 would put you over that but if the stick doesn't work on its own then it sounds like it is not compatible with your motherboard. it may also be defective but you did say you were able to boot it in another PC
